Eid brings joy, festive cheer to the streets of Quetta

QUETTA:

Like the rest of the country, the provincial capital Quetta celebrated Eidul Fitr with traditional enthusiasm and vibrancy on the first day of the festival.

The city came alive with a series of colorful fairs and amusement stalls in different neighborhoods, doubling the festive atmosphere. Large crowds of children and adults flocked to these places and immersed themselves in the joy and gaiety of the occasion.

On the opening day of Eid, children collected their Eidi from family members before going straight to the fairs. Laughter, smiles and a cheerful atmosphere filled the air everywhere.

Popular places like Khyber Road, Joint Road, Saryab Road, Nawan Killi, Samungli Road, Ghaus Abad and Qambrani Road featured prominent turns that attracted special attention from youngsters who enjoyed them wholeheartedly. Camel rides also proved to be a unique and exciting attraction that added extra joy for the little ones.

Food stalls with a selection of snacks kept visitors engaged throughout the day.

Favorites like gol gapay (pani puri), chaat, ice cream and other spicy and tasty treats were especially popular among children.

Youngsters used their Eidi money to buy favorite food, toys and other things, which visibly increased their Eid happiness.

Toy stalls also saw large crowds, with children and parents eagerly looking and shopping.

Residents noted that such fairs not only provide wholesome entertainment options for children but also make the joyous occasion of Eid even more colorful and memorable.
