Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has provided detailed information about the Indian air strikes that hit several civil sites across Pakistan overnight, resulting in eight deaths and 33 injuries.
In a briefing early Wednesday, DG ISPR condemned the Indian act as an unprovoked and feig aggression. “Last night, Cowardly India launched 24 attacks on six locations in Pakistan, resulting in the martyrdom of eight innocent civilians,” he said.
He said five civilians, including a young girl, were killed in Ahmadpur East alone. In Muzaffarabad, Bilal mosque was targeted, led to damage to a child and damage to the structure. The Abbas Mosque in Kotli was also hit while another mosque in Murideke was hit, killed one civilian and injured another.
In other areas, an artillery shell in Kotli Loharaan landed village near Sialkot and a dispensary in Shakargarh sustained damage.
“The Pakistani Army delivers a strong and extensive reaction to this baseless Indian aggression,” DG ISPR claimed, adding that all media would be brought to the affected areas during the day to expose “India’s naked aggression” to the world.
He confirmed the right of Pakistan to defend its sovereignty and made it clear that the military’s response was already underway.
