Eight Named Absconders in Senior Attorney Shamsul Islam Murder Case

Police on Friday presented the initial report on senior lawyer Khawaja Shamsul Islam’s killing to an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi identifying eight suspects.

The report presented to ATC in Karachi Central Prison’s anti-terrorism complex stated that the case was registered in the complaint of the victim’s brother, Khawaja Faisal, under charges of murder, murder attempts and provisions in the law of anti-terrorism.

FIR also refers to a previous attack on November 14, 2024, when Imran Afridi and 15 to 20 armed accomplice assaulted Islam. This incident involved shots and physical violence and was reported at the Clifton police station.
