In a tragic incident, eight Pakistani motor mechanics were shot to death in Iran’s Sistan Province near the border with Pakistan-Iran.

All victims came from the Bahawalpur district and were employed at a local workshop specializing in painting, polishing and vehicle repair.

The deceased was identified as Dilshad, his son Naeem, Jaffer, Danish, Nasir and others.

According to local sources, unidentified attacks on the workshop stormed during the night, tied up the hands of mechanics and opened fire and killed them on the spot.

Iranian security forces were cut off from the area and restored the bodies. The attacker remains unidentified. However, no group has yet assumed responsibility for the killing.

The original reports suggest that the attack may have been carried out by an anti-Pakistan terrorist group. Iranian authorities have launched a study of the rioting incident, but no arrests have been made so far.

Officials from the Pakistan Ambassad in Tehran reached the site to identify the victims and collect more information.

A spokesperson for the embassy confirmed that they are in constant contact with Iranian authorities and assured that everything would be done to ensure justice for the victims’ families.

It is worth noting that a similar attack took place in January 2024 when nine Pakistani workers were killed in the Sistan province of unknown attacks.
