- Eizo FlexScan FLT-S only uses 6 watts of power, making it far more efficient than most contermonitors
- Certified as the World’s First Class A screen under Europe’s updated energy standards
- Connected using only one cable through docking stations, holding desks clear and root -free
Eizo has announced FlexScan FLT-S, a 23.8 inch full HD screen that brings energy efficiency, portability and a clean design to a single display.
Although marketed as a business surveillance, its combination of low effect, simplified setup and flexible use it to a compelling alternative to many traditional desktopmonitors.
This device is currently available in Japan for 59,950 yen (about $ 406) and it is sold as one made for ordering product, suggesting it is aimed at professionals.
Some reasons why this device can replace mainstream systems
On only 6 watts during typical use, FLT-S offers energy savings far beyond what most standard monitors can match.
Eizo says this makes it the world’s first screen to earn an energy label under EU regulation in 2019/2013, reflecting its power consumption and efficient internal design.
In office environments with multiple screens running for 8 or more hours a day, this reduction in power use can be translated into noticeably lower electricity bills.
It is not only good for sustainability, it is a practical financial advantage, especially in scale.
Compared to larger or older screens that often consume three or four times as much power, FLT-S changes the baseline of what users should expect in efficiency.
Another major advantage of FLT-S is its minimal setup with single cable operation via USB-C or similar docks.
In most work areas, it can be connected to a docking station that reduces the cable root and simplifies desktop layouts that support a cleaner and more manageable work environment.
Unlike the previous FlexScan FLT model, which came with a clamping arm, FLT-S includes a small desktop that can be placed anywhere without installation, making it suitable for open offices, temporary desks or situations where mounting is impractical.
It supports tidy setups with low maintenance that are now expected in modern business environments.
With its lightweight building, simple stands and plug and play nature, it can also be moved around, whether it is a quick desk change or taken home for hybrid work.
Users don’t have to remove or separate something, just pick it up, take it home and connect it.
This mobility places it together with the best portable monitor settings, but with better performance and a full desktop size.
It also means that companies do not have to issue separate screens to home and office. A device is doing both jobs well.
