Senator Ejaz Chaudhry, a senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), was transferred to a hospital from Laore’s Kot Lakhpat prison due to health concerns.
According to a statement from the PTI leader’s spokesman, Senator Chaudhry’s condition within the prison was deteriorated, causing the administration to move him to the hospital under strict security measures.
The spokesman also reported that Senator Chaudhry underwent coronary bypass surgery. After the procedure, his condition has improved and he is now out of danger.
Senator Chaudhry has been jailed in Kot Lakhpat Prison since May 9, 2023, in connection with cases related to PTI’s activities. His health issues have raised concerns among his supporters and the public.
