Emma Heming Willis, wife of Bruce Willis, shared Tearly, that she still catches rare flashes of her husband’s personality after his frontotemporal dementia (FTD) diagnosis.
Tuesday 26th August episode of Good morning AmericaThe 47-year-old British model and actress spoke to Diane Sawyer and revealed that her family still gets live moments when her ailing husband shows “warm” flashes of her magnetic personality.
Emma said, “It’s his laughter, right? He has such a big laughter. And sometimes you see that twinkle in his eye, or that smirk. I’m just being transported.”
With eyes that Welling Up, she admitted, “and it’s just hard to see, because as soon as these moments appear, it goes.”
For the unwarterized, Bruce was diagnosed with aphasia in March 2022. It is a language disorder that affects the ability to communicate. Per Mayo Clinic, “It can affect your speech as well as the way you write and understand both spoken and written language.”
The Perfect strangers Star continued to note that her husband had something else in him before he was diagnosed with aphasia.
She said, “For someone who was very talkative and very engaged, he was just a little quieter. And when the family wanted to meet, he would just melt a little.”
“He felt a little removed, very cold. Not like Bruce, there is very hot and loving. Going in the very opposite of it was alarming and scary,” Emma Hemming Willis revealed.
