At. 60 played Emma Thompson in the lead role Death in winter, an action movie; In her view, however, it was a “bad idea.”
In a chat with Upishe says, “It was a very bad idea to start it at the age of 66. It’s just stupid but there you go.”
The British star explains why she thinks that way. “Uncriminated in one’s third age as it was. And when I am in youth of old age, what do you do when you are young?”
She goes on, “You are taking kinds of risks. So I thought, ‘Well, I might as well take risks in this bit and see what’s happening.’ And what happens is that you are getting hurt regularly.
In addition, the actress opens up the stunt team on the set. “We had a wonderful stunt team that taught us all that, and we had to do these battle sequences over and over again.”
“But you go, ‘Well, yes, it makes sense. What else would you do? Your body would respond like that,'” she adds.
Emma also weighs into the nature of her stunts and manages, “The fighting sequences are not like in Bourne Ultimatum. She does not suddenly turn out to be a judo expert.”
“She just survives by pushing by kicking by doing what she can do to prevent this crazy woman from killing her and the girl,” she notes.
Death in winter are out in theaters.
