JK Rowling has been pretty vocal about her view of the trans community. This strong attitude was in violation of the statements of the main stars from Harry PotterIncluding Emma Watson on the question.
Now she reflects on her equation with the British author, despite the fact that she disagrees with her on a topic that the author was a violent vocals.
“I really don’t think that by having that experience and keeping the love and support and views that I have, I mean I can’t and don’t appreciate after all and the person I … had personal experiences with,” the star shares at Intentionally with jay shetty Podcast.
She goes on, “I will never believe that one is neglecting the other and that my experience of this person … I do not keep keeping and appreciating … to return to our past things.”
“I just don’t think these things either are or. I think it is my deepest wish that I hope that people who do not agree with my opinion will love me and I hope I can continue to love people with whom I do not necessarily share the same meaning,” adds the British star.
But what is swirling Emma, she notes, “I think the thing I am most sorry is that a conversation was never made possible.”
Despite this, the 35-year-old is optimistic about talking to Rowling to hash out their differences. “Yes, and I will always. I believe that. I believe in it completely.”
It is worth noting that Emma, along with Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint in 2020, pushed back against the comments Harry Potter’s author, who was made on transgender.
