In the case of heavy monsoon rain, the district administration has intensified precautionary measures and issued an ultimatum for immediate evacuation of residents living in fallen structures and flood -fought areas.
The directive is particularly targeted at residents of uncertain buildings and residents along the Ravi belt in the Tandlianwala and encourages them to move to safer areas to avoid potential loss of life.
The action is part of a wider Monsun Nut plan implemented under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Captain (Ret.) Nadeem Nasir.
A high -level meeting, led by additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Rana Musa, underwent the emergency preparedness of relevant departments.
The session participated in assistant commissioners in the city, Sadar, Tandlianwala and officials from WASA, health, local authorities, municipal committees and other departments.
ADC Rana Musa talked about the meeting and said that securing citizens’ safety and their property remains the highest priority.
He instructed all departments to activate field teams and insert necessary resources without delay.
Instructions were sent to immediate mosque messages to warn the public, especially those in structurally weak homes, to move.
Citizens were also asked to clear the roofs of standing water to prevent structural damage or accidents.
Drainage and Desilting operations have been prioritized in housing communities and urban centers.
WASA officials have been instructed to remain active during rainfall, secure machinery readiness and respond immediately to complaints.
