Former Miami Dolphin -offensive Lineman Jonathan Martin goes back with his bullying charges against his former teammate Richie Incognito, who caused quite the scandal in 2013.
“I never thought for a moment that I was bullied,” Martin told ESPN. “It’s a story that I’ve been trying to solve for 10 years.”
Incognito was suspended by Dolphins in 2013 after reports that he bullied Martin to the point where the latter stormed out of the team’s cafeteria as a result of what was said.

Martin, another round of election of Dolphins in 2012, was in his second NFL season when the bullying controversy surrounded him and incognito.
The dolphins later announced that Incognito was suspended for “behavior harmful to the team.”
The league eventually got involved, retaining lawyer Ted Wells to investigate the incident, which found that Incognito, Mike Pouncey and John Jerry had all been in bullying against Martin.

The NFL’s report on the case also said Martin was controlling himself in a hospital and his mother had to flew across the country to be with him during this time.
But now Martin is accusing his parents of the situation becoming as well known as it is today.
“I had a situation with my teammates, whom I was not super happy about,” Martin told ESPN. “But my mother had her own reading about the situation.
“I hadn’t even told my coaches hadn’t told anyone. And suddenly it’s on ESPN, right?” he continued. “I didn’t believe in any of the attitudes I took, just where I am this victim. I wasn’t a victim, right? And again, it’s been a point in constitution.

“My mom maybe in her mind – I can’t read her mind – she thought she was doing the right thing.”
Incognito, who missed the second half of the 2013 season and the entire 2014 campaign due to the scandal, replied after seeing Martin’s new words about the matter.
“He couldn’t cut it in the NFL, so he stopped, and his mother accused me,” he said, mute on X. “Legacy Media pushed this tale long and far. The soup it was all a lie! They lied to protect his money.
While Martin’s mother, Jane, did not talk to ESPN about the interview, his father, Gus, said his piece.
“His mother and I are strongly intervening,” he said. “To make sure he was protected.”

Gus Martin also played an alleged voice from Incognito, who was left to his son at the time. The man on the phone, allegedly incognito, threatens Jonathan Martin using graphic language including racial slurry.
“Hello, what happens, you are half-n —– Piece S —,” Incognito allegedly says. “I saw you on Twitter you’ve been training 10 weeks. I will s — in your f — ing mouth. I will beat your f — ing mouth, I will beat your real mother across the face.
Martin would eventually be traded to San Francisco 49ers during the peak season after the bullying’s accusations were brought out. However, he only played 15 games there before retiring after going to Carolina Panthers training camp the following year.
Meanwhile, Incognito signed with the Buffalo calculations after his suspension was lifted by the league. He spent three seasons in Upstate New York before coming to the then Oakland Raiders.

During a performance on “HBO’s real sports with Bryant Gumbel” in 2019, Incognito ever refused to bully his former teammate and accused Martin’s “Mental Health Questions and His Demons” of being out of the league.
Incognito added, “I fit the bill. Hi, racist, gay, what not. What I say was we were close, personal friends. It wasn’t taken into: ‘Hi, this is guy talk, this is two alpha male talking to each other.
