The incident triggered Beckham’s post on X.
“Dear @nfl, I mean that by the greatest love and respect. We (nfl) take all precautions in the world with everything else when it comes to the players ‘health’ and ‘security’. Plz. Plz. Plz. Get rid of the grass. Thank you in advance. Luv,” he wrote.
“Respect and u kno I love the giants, but Deathlife has taken too many talented players away from the game. I know it’s not all grass filling errors, but at least maybe we can start the discussion.” At least we can start the discussion. “
The field conditions at Metlife Stadium have been investigated in recent years, as a number of seasonal ending damage has taken place there.

Metlife Stadium changed its grass course before the 2023 season after a scream over the conditions. Still, the players considered Metlife Stadium as one of the worst venues in the league.
A player told The Athletic in 2023 that the stadium’s “Turf sucks and the whole place is limp.”
Giants team owner John Mara also addressed the question in 2023.

“I predict one day, my hope is that we can come to a day at some point in the future when we can have a grass course that we are able to maintain with two different teams and all the other events we have,” said Giants owner John Mara during the NFL meetings in March of that year. “I think we can get there at some point. Maybe it’s a hybrid product or something.”
