Sean Casey, a former MLB All-Star with Cincinnati Reds, allegedly suffered a serious injury while playing for the very popular Savannah Banana’s baseball team on Friday night.
Casssey suffered a torn hamstring while driving the bases as the team played at the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, said Fanduel Sports Network -TV company Jim Day during Reds’ match against Detroit Tigers.

“It’s real when you run and you’re 51 years old,” Day said via Cincinnati Enquirer. “He got a massive ovation. And he was at the record. And he rounded the first base and thought of going to second place. And the crowd cheered him on. Now he grabbed his hamstring.
“I thought he just played to the crowd. You know, ‘Hi, I’m an older guy and it’s hard for me to run.’ It turns out he completely tore his hamstring.

The incident took place at the bottom of the seventh lap. Casey was at the record when the ball got away from Catcher. He started first.

When Casey came around the first base, he began to pull on his hamstring. The bananas sent a clamp runner to Casey and he came out of the field.
“What moment to have a more ab in front of the biggest fans in the world last night in Cincinnati !!” Casey wrote on X. “Thx to @thesavbananas n @yellowtuxjesse for the opportunity! Banana Ball is so fun, what experience!
