Ex-NFL player David Pollack reveals that wife will undergo an operation for brain cancer

Former Georgia Standout and Ex-Spn College football Analyst David Pollack went to social media this week to ask for prayers as his wife is preparing to undergo surgery after being diagnosed with brain cancer.

Pollack, 42, shared the news in a post on X and asked that the community’s rally behind his family when his wife, Lindsey, is due to operation on Wednesday.

“I don’t share much of my personal life on social media, but today it will be different,” his post read.

“If you are that prayer type, you have to lift my wife Lindsey up. She has Brain cancer And surgery is Wednesday at Duke. So grateful to serve a loving God who meets us in our battles! “

Previous NFL player And the current ESPN sports analyst Pat McAfee replied to the post and said, “All my positive vibes and prayers brother.”

The NFL network’s Scott Hanson added, “Pray for her, you, your family and the health care system. I hope you are heard by the thousands of answers here. And more of the character of our great god.”

Pollack earned first team of all-america recognitions in three seasons in Georgia and was introduced to the College Football Hall of Fame as one of the most dominant defensive ends in the SEC history.

He was drafted by Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the NFL draft in 2005, but his promising NFL career was cut off shortly after he suffered a serious neck injury in his second season.

Pollack served as a college football analyst for ESPN from 2009 to 2023.

He and his wife founded the Pollack Family Foundation aimed at strengthening families “by providing basic needs and basic care when investing in opportunities to encourage ‘faith. Family. Community.'”

Pollack also hosts the podcast “family destination” with Pastor Jonathan Howes, discussing faith, family and sports.
