Kevin Ware Jr., who spent two seasons in the NFL, entered a guilty plea just days before the Jury Committee for his trial for the murder of Wares then girlfriend Taylor Pomaski was scheduled to begin, several Houston Media Outlets reported on Thursday.
The former footballproof end accepted a plea of the deal during his court performance on Wednesday.
Ware accepted 30 years of prison for murder and manipulated with evidence, “specifically a corpse” in Pomaski’s death, according to Fox 26 Houston. The 44-year-old was accused of having fire to Pomaski’s corpse.

Harris County District Attorney’s Office did not immediately respond to Pakinomist Digital’s request for comment. Neal Davis III, the lawyer for Record for Ware, did not respond immediately.
Former NFL player Kevin Ware accused of killing
A Harris County, Texas, Grand Jury accused Ware in July 2022 of murder and manipulated charges. The city of Houston is Harris County seat and its largest city.

Pomaski’s last known performance was in April 2021. She was 29 years old at the time and was home in Texas. After several months of searching, Harris County Sheriff’s Department Human Remains in a ditch in December 2021. In April 2022, authorities identified the remains of Pomaskis.

Ware was arrested on two possession of possession with intent on delivering a controlled substance and illegal possession of a firearm as a criminal. The arrest happened before Pomaski disappeared. Ware was released on bond in April 2021 – Pomaski disappeared later that month. Wares killing complaints in Pomaski’s death will run simultaneously with his weapons and drug fees, Houston Chronicle reported.
Ware is expected to be formally convicted on May 9th.
Ware played for Washington in 2003 before spending the 2004 season with San Francisco 49ers.
