Former NFL star Jay Cutler was sued in the Tennessee Court on Tuesday over a DUI crash in October that led to a prison sentence for the former Chicago Bears and the Denver Broncos player.
Cutler was arrested after he ended another vehicle with his pickup. Police said at the time the former quarterback smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes, and swirled his words. He offered the second driver $ 2,000 so as not to call the police and to let him drive away, according to an arrest warrant.

He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and spending four days in Williamson County Prison, which begins on September 29. He has also committed to paying a fine of $ 350. Once released, Cutler will be on unattended probation for a year and will be participating in a DUI security class, according to WSMV TV.
It seems that Cutler’s legal matches are far from over.
Perry Lee, whose vehicle was hit by Cutler, brought a lawsuit in Williamson County Circuit Court and is looking for compensation “of over $ 25,000,” according to Tennessean.
“Our client is a veteran who was injured in a car accident because of the alleged negligence of another driver,” Lee’s lawyers told the newspaper in a statement. “His injuries from the crash cause him daily pain and has eroded his quality of life.
