Veteran politician and former Punjab Governor Mian Muhammad Azhar died on Tuesday, PTI confirmed in an official statement.
Azhar, a senior political figure with a decades-long career in public service, was currently a PTI-supported member of the National Assembly. The party announced its death on X, extending with condolance to his son, senior PTI leader Hammad Azhar.
In the wake of his passing, tribute is poured from political circles. Minister of Communications Abdul Aleem Khan described Azhar as “a person with a noble character” and said his “services will be remembered for a long time”.
