The efforts to limit cheating in Sindh’s ongoing matriculation exam has fallen short as question papers were leaked and answers that were shared on social media in several cities on Saturday, including Hyderabad, Shikarpur and Nawabshah.
According to media reports, the Hyderabad board’s claims to prevent cheating ineffective when the 10th grade chemistry paper was leaked before the exam and its response circulated widely across social media platforms.
In Shikarpur, 10th grade biology paper also appeared online prior to the exam. A similar incident took place in Nawabshah, where the math paper under the Shaheed Benazirabad board was leaked along with its solutions.
In Khairpur, meanwhile, reports of students copied answers with firearms that were open on desks, highlighting serious security measures.
Under the SUKKUR board, the biology paper was held on Saturday. In an attempt to secure transparency, surveillance team from the Sukkur Board and the local administration conducted surprising visits to several exam centers.
Despite these efforts, officials confirmed that over 250 cases of cheating were registered in just four days, according to the controller of investigations on the Sukkur Board.
The educational authorities have not yet issued a comprehensive response, as widespread paper leaks continue to undermine study integrity throughout the province.
