28 years laterthe third entry in 28 days Film series is set to reanify the post-apocalyptic horror franchise after an 18-year-old hiatus. And prior to the film’s release, Techradar can only reveal a new feature that gives more details about the mysterious character played by Ralph Fiennes.
The video in 40 seconds introduces the audience to Doctor Ian Kelson, who apparently has a significant supportive role to play in 28 years later and potentially its upcoming successor Bone Temple.

There was little known about Kelson before this feature was released. Actually except for some very short appearances in the film’s two main teasers – 28 years laterFirst was released last December before its official trailer arrived in April, suggesting it would be the horror film of the year – Kelson was a character that was largely shrouded in mystery.
But when he speaks as part of this vignette, there is ispedd’s new footage of Kelson and his interaction with some of the film’s main crew, Fiennes teased what the audience can expect from Kelson and how he fits into the wider 28 days universe.
“Ian Kelson is a doctor, a humanist, [and] A man who is compassionate, “explained Fiennes.” I think he is someone who has accepted the death fact. How does he live day to day? How has he survived 28 years alone? I was very impressed with the depth and the details of what he is. You may think he is an eerie guy, but he is a complicated figure. “
One of 2025’s most expected new films, 28 years later Will, as its title suggests, pick up events almost 30 years after rage -the virus herjet mankind and made infected individuals scary, water -red creatures that can run much faster than traditional zombies.
Helped by the beloved British filmmaker Danny Boyle, who also directed the film series’ First Rate, follows the mainly father and Sønduo Jamie and Spike, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Alfie Williams
Alongside their Amnesiac Wife/Mother Isla (Jodie Comer), Jamie and Spike are part of the small and safe island community in Lindisfarne sitting on the northeastern coast of Britain. But when Jamie and Spike embark on a life-threatening mission to the mainland, their eyes open to the horrors that now live in the island kingdom, formally known as Britain.
Alex Garland who conceived the original idea and wrote the manuscript to 28 days lateralso returned to write the story of this franchise input. Neither he nor Boyle were involved in the development of 28 weeks lateralias film series’ Sophomore Rate. But with the couple who reunite for this silver screen venture – Garland has also written his successor script, which Boyle also produces executive – the future looks bright for 28 days franchise once again.
28 years later Arriving in cinemas all over the world on June 20th. 28 years later: the bone temp will be released globally in January 2026.
