- Legos Next DC Batman -Set is Official: Arkham Asylum
- The 2,953 piece of sets was revealed on San Diego Comic Con
- It’s a set of three levels and comes with 16 minifigures
Yes, it’s the evening for San Diego Comic Con 2025, and LEGO doesn’t waste time launching new sets – and Techradar shows only one of the most exciting additions to the LEGO Batman theme in recent memory.
LEGO DC Batmobile has long been impressive, but the brand new LEGO DC Batman Arkham Asylum Set is a rough building with lots of minifigures – 16 to be accurate.
The kit is built of 2,953 pieces and is designed as a display of 12.5 inches high and almost 10 inches deep. It comes together as a two-story building plus a roof and the asylum can be divided apart to adjust the look. I have a sense of collectors and fans who choose this set will do plenty of it to arrange minifigures inside.
There are plenty of cells to house them like Harley Quinn, Path or Joker, but there are also the outer shell of the building, complete with red brick and lots of details. In fact, the designers at LEGO send this set with 65 stickers – that’s a lot of custom options. There are even cement signs out front and other details drawn directly from the Batman universe and a wider DC mark.
Of course, Arkham Asylum would not be complete without a delivery car for inserted transport, so it is also included with different accessories for minifigures.
Let’s break down minifigures here too. There are a total of 16, including Batman, Batwoman, Batwing, Robin, Mr Freeze, The Riddler, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Bane, The Joker, Penguin, Killer Croc and two security guards.

Furthermore, and something of a rarity for LEGO sets, you get transparent elements to help make up characters, including the ability to get Batman to get down from the roof or sit up.
You can see a complete gallery of shots by Legos DC Batman Arkham Asylum below, and it will be launched prior to the holiday season on September 12 for $ 299.99 / £ 269.99 (Australian Price TBC). If you are a member of the LEGO Insiders-Brand’s Free-to-Join Rewards Program-Can You order the set early on September 9th.
Given that it is built of nearly 3,000 pieces and launched before the holidays, Lego also suggests that this could be used as a Batman Advent calendar of kind. How? Well, you would build part of each day for 24 days as it comes with the number of bags to put together the building insurance booklet.
If you are just after a new LEGO set, here are a few of my favorites for sale at Amazon right now.
