Whichever way you sliced it, OnePlus enjoys a fruitful 2025. Just a few months after the OnePlus 13 sailed on our list of the best phones, money can buy, OnePlus Watch 3 became one of the best Android Smartwatches around, and the newly announced OnePlus Pad 3 appears to have prominently in our guide to the best Android.
All three of these products are flagships in their respective categories, but OnePlus is now ready for its annual swipe at Mid-Range Tech Market.
In an exclusive interview with Techradar, Celina Shi, Chief Marketing Officer at OnePlus Europe, revealed the names and details of five new mid-range OnePlus products on the way to stores in July-specific OnePlus Nord 5, OnePlus Nord CE5, OnePlus Buds 4, OnePlus Pad Lite and OnePlus Watch 3 43MM.
TECHRADAR: What do you see as a key USP for the OnePlus Nord series in 2025, with regard to both its place in the OnePlus portfolio and the wider middle-class smartphone market?
Celina Shi: The OnePlus Nord series is our mid-range smartphone series designed to offer a balance between flagship features at an affordable price. It has been much loved by a significant number of our communities that enjoy its fun and more playful tone. The OnePlus Nord series is bolder in color and style than our flagship series and gives a real opportunity for people to demonstrate their personal identity through the units and its brand.
In July this year, I am pleased to announce that OnePlus is launching two new units in the OnePlus Nord series: OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus Nord CE5. The latest series is a Performance Power Center that offers endless endurance so you can play and create all day and night.
TR: What specifically does OnePlus Nord 5 do a “Performance Powerhouse”?
CS: The new OnePlus Nord 5 is what we call a double stance-it has an unusual camera and a unique chipset.
While you will have to wait to find out about the camera, I can confirm that OnePlus Nord 5 will include Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 Mobile Platform, an unfairly high-special chipset for the middle-class market.
OnePlus Nord 5 is equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and an advanced 7,300 mm² Cryoflex fluid cooling system, which ensures consistent smooth performance, even under pressure.

For the players will onePlus Nord 5 also support Battlegrounds Mobile India At natives 90 frames per Second to 144fps with interpolating image frequency, which means smooth play and less delay.
We have included all these features as our Core OnePlus Nord audience wants a quick and smooth experience as they use their smartphones to create, games and multitasking. As these types of activities become more complex with more treatment loading, we have doubled on our chipset to ensure that we deliver the signature quick and smooth experience that we have become famous for.
TR: Both new North Models have a vertical camera array. Why the move back to this orientation on the flagship model this year?
CS: With every smartphone, there is always a negotiation between aesthetic design and what is physically possible within these parameters. As technological components develop, our design will also make the best -looking products that work optimally.
The camera module is vertical in the latest OnePlus Nord series as this layout optimizes the space within the device so we can include a best in class chipset, battery and screen inside.
TR: And in the same way, what can you tell us about the back panel design?
CS: While I can’t reveal details of OnePlus Nord 5 series materials yet, I can say it won’t be in a metal frame this year.
Our design concept for all our devices is based on consumer insight. Following a global study conducted throughout Europe, North America, India and China, we found that our target group is strongly emphasized practical in design.

They consistently prefer styles that are short, simple and elegant. In response to this, we offer a Nordic-inspired design this year that reflects these values and resonates with our consumers globally.
With that in mind, I only reveal to you a color each for OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus Nord CE, which is launched in Europe on July 8: OnePlus Nord 5 launches in Tøris, and OnePlus Nord CE 5 in Marble Mist.
TR: Are you convinced that users will embrace the new Plus key and Plus mind Interface on the North 5 Series?
CS: We are really excited about the new plus key, the expansion of OnePlus’ personalized AI experience. The plus key is not a removal of our alarm slider, it is a natural development that allows it to be more skilled, more intuitive to use and now much adapted. The plus key is a customizable button that is programmable for various actions such as changing audio profiles, launching the camera, initiating translation or starting recordings.

Plus Mind -Interface sits perfectly with our plus key and is the first step to building a really personal smartphone experience with AI. Users can simply press the Plus key to recognize screen content and add it as a ‘memory’. This includes actions such as saving content on the screen, suggesting that schedules are added to a calendar, storing the on-screen screen and searching with a conversation prompt via AI search.
In addition to simple screen catching, AI Plus Mind AI utilizes to analyze content contextually. For example, it can extract plans for details from an image or text and add them directly to the user’s calendar. AI search, integrated with AI Plus Mind, supports natural language requests for easy retrieval of saved content.
TR: With medium -sized smartphones that are improved in quality every year, how does the OnePlus distinguish between middle class and flagship by 2025?
CS: At OnePlus, our vision is to strengthen the world through better technology. We launched the OnePlus Nord series to produce advanced technology, including OnePlus Fast & Smooth Experience, available to more people. Therefore, when we look at the OnePlus Nord series, we try to balance flagship technology with an affordable price.
But the identity of the OnePlus Nord series is very different from our flagship series. It is more playful, colorful and bold in style.

People who buy our OnePlus Nord series are different from those who buy flagships. For our flagship products, like the OnePlus 13 series, we are targeted at power users. These are tech enthusiasts who place high demands on their devices and expect bleeding edge hardware and friction-free, performance-focused software.
Our OnePlus Nord products are a way for us to take our flagship technology and make it more accessible to a wider range of users. These are value -cut consumers who expect a quick and smooth experience at a price point that allows more people to participate in our community.
At OnePlus, the flagship line and Nord Line play equally important roles in our product and brand strategy. On the one hand, we continue to build flagship units that integrate the most advanced technologies to provide advanced experiences in premium and ultra-premium levels. In parallel, we are also obliged to make the OnePlus experience and quality more accessible to more users with the North product line.
TR: Moving away from smartphones for a moment, what else does OnePlus plan to launch next month?
CS: In the summer, July 8, we focus on building our product portfolio across different categories and price segments. Alongside our OnePlus Nord Series devices, I am pleased to announce that we are launching three new products: a new laptop, OnePlus Watch 3 43mm, our latest flagship headphones, OnePlus Buds 4 and a new tablet, OnePlus Pad Lite.
In February this year we launched our latest flagship portable, OnePlus Watch 3. It was very popular due to its huge battery life, accurate GPS and health and well -being measurements.
We bring a smaller iteration of this device that is perfect for those with smaller wrists – but don’t underestimate it! It is packed with specifications that compete with the full size version, as well as exclusive monitoring features that are not found on any other device and will be available in slim silver steel!
We elaborate on our roots in wider consumer electronics sectors to become a premium ‘Android Builder’.
Celina Shi, OnePlus
Warm from the heels of the OnePlus Pad 3 launch in June, we have found that a strong section of our society is looking for OnePlus for an affordable tablet that works seamlessly with their other OnePlus devices. We are happy to bring this to them this summer. OnePlus Pad Lite will be available in Europe in Aero Blue.
For OnePlus Buds 4, you can expect a flagship audio experience with double drivers, double DACs, Hi-Res LHDC 5.0 and 3D sound. For players, OnePlus Buds 4 also offers 47m’s Ultra-low latency in game mode, ensuring sound synchronization perfect with the action on screen for a competitive advantage.
As with all OnePlus products, style has been ahead and in the middle of the design process [for our new earbuds]. This year, OnePlus buds 4 are available in two color settings: Zen Green and Storm Gray.

TR: And finally, when you look ahead, what is the overall product strategy for OnePlus in 2025?
CS: Our trip started in 2014 with the release of our first smartphone, OnePlus One, which shared good technology with the world and challenged industry status quo. While our ambition is to continue to deliver unique value to our smartphone users, we elaborate on our roots in wider consumer electronics sectors to become a premium ‘Android Builder’. Today we offer a wide portfolio of devices across four main categories: smartphone, tablet, sound and wearables.
Through our ecosystem of devices, we want to raise our society’s digital life with products that seamlessly connect and improve their lifestyle through better technology. We host open ear forums for our society, where we get invaluable feedback from our users. By 2025, we have doubled this effort through ordinary catch-ups through one-on-one sessions, where we carefully listen and understand their needs.
On the product page we will continue to improve our hardware and software offerings with features we have become famous for, like long battery life, [unique] Design and [powerful] performance; But also integrate newer technologies that upgraded oxygenos, Opencanvas and AI, to ensure that the OnePlus product experience across all categories and all devices are faster and smoother than ever.
So there you have it, the people’s – OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus Nord CE5 will be launched in the UK and Europe on July 8 with the OnePlus Watch 3 43mm, OnePlus Buds 4 and OnePlus Pad Lite. We will get all five new products to test in the coming weeks, so stay up to date with Techradar for our full judgments on OnePlus’ latest middle-class devices.
