At least 10 people were injured in an explosion near Jan Mohammad Road in Quetta, Express News reported Friday quoting police.
Police stated that the explosion took place when explosive material was planted on a motorcycle.
Immediate rescue operations followed and the wounded were transferred to the hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that no deaths have been reported so far.
A search operation has been launched in the area to determine the cause of the attack and the individuals behind it.
The blasting in Quetta occurred a few hours after a suicide bombing in Akora Khattak, the Nowshera district, in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The attack on Darul Uloom Haqqania Mosque killed at least four people, including Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, head of Jui-S.
A dozen others were injured in the explosion that took place after Friday prayers. Police officials confirmed that Maulana Haqqani was probably the primary target of the attack.
Rescue teams were sent to the scene and the wounded were taken to nearby hospitals. Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) in Peshawar has been put on high alarm in anticipation of further losses.
