In an attempt to provide relief to the citizens of the Holy Month Ramadan, the District Administration of Islamabad has announced the creation of 17 fair price stores all over the city.
The initiative allows residents to buy important foods at wholesale prices, Express News reported.
Locations for the stores are carefully selected to ensure accessibility to the public. Remarkable areas include the G-9 Center, I-8, F-8, E-11, F-10, F-11, G-13 and Barakahu. In addition, Fair Price stores will also be created in areas such as Bhara Kahu, Bani Gala, Pakistan Town, F-7, F-6, G-6, G-7, Lehtarar Road and I-11/4.
The Islamabad administration has delegated responsibility to all assistant commissioners to oversee the smooth function of these businesses, ensuring that residents can use the subsidized prices under Ramadan.
This step is expected to give citizens much needed relief, especially during the month when the demand for food typically increases.
In addition, the Punjab government issued a review that revised the school time of both public and private institutions in the Holy Month Ramadan.
According to the message, schools begin at 1 p.m. 8:30 pm and closes at. 13.00 from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Fridays, schools close at. 12.30. For double change schools, the first shift works from 8:30 to 12:30, while the second shift begins at. 13:00 and ends at. 16:00.
On Fridays, the second shift starts at. 14:30 and ends at. 17.00.
