Reacting to reports that talks between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the government fell apart, Senator Faisal Vawda has stated that these talks were just a joke to begin with.
He emphasized that he had predicted in advance that the talks would fail since the PTI and the government share the same goal: to keep the PTI’s founding chairman in jail.
Faisal Vawda stressed that sincerity is essential for negotiations, but it seems that both the government and the PTI have a common goal.
He further noted, “Those waiting for a ‘Trump card’ are now walking around with placards, but the nation still fails to grasp the reality of the situation.”
Criticizing PTI’s past policies, the senator pointed out that the party remained on board the government from the 18th to the 26th constitutional amendment.
He claimed that all hardships are being created specifically for the PTI founder, while the rest of the leadership has been spared significant ordeals.
According to Faisal Vawda, the whole scenario appears to be part of a pre-determined strategy where negotiations are conducted only as a formality, while the real purpose lies elsewhere.
