Faisalabad Police Department has released its annual comparative crime analysis for the years 2024 and 2025 and shows significant progress in crime prevention, response and enforcement.
The data paints a promising picture of improved public security with sharp decreases in almost all major crime categories and stronger action against illegal activities.
According to the report, Faisalabad witnessed a dramatic reduction in violent and property crimes in the past year.
Events with Dacoity combined with murder were halved by 2025 compared to the previous year.
Similarly, standalone cases of dacoity dropped by 59 percent and robberies fell by 20 percent.
Crimes involving vehicles snapped and theft also saw a remarkable fall, with the car snapping with 62 percent, motorcycle snapping by 24 percent, and car theft and motorcycle theft fell by 14 and 27 percent respectively.
These reductions reflect the increased efficiency of the police force, helped by smarter patrol strategies and improved community engagement.
The improvement in crime control is also evident in the data from the contingency system. Call for emergency number 15 for house robbery was down by 34 percent, while robbery calls fell by 17 percent.
Reports of car snacking and general theft experienced sharp drops of 62 and 55 percent respectively, indicating a broader fall in street crime.
Reports on vehicle snap and bicycle theft also tried downwards and show a safer environment for commuters and residents.
In the fight against drugs, the police registered a total of 1,518 cases in 2025. Attacks included 488 kg of charas, 100 kg of heroin, 17 kg of opium, 15.91 kg of ice and over 20,000 liters of spirits.
The department made remarkable progress in targeting large traffickers, increasing seizures of Charas over 5 kg by 29 percent and heroin over 1 kg with an impressive 97 percent compared to 2024.
The arrest of high-profile offenders, categorized as category A-proclaimed offenders (POS), also improved.
A total of 630 category A POS was arrested in 2025, marking an increase of 17 percent from the previous year.
These arrests included persons involved in serious crimes, such as murder, dacoity, kidnapping for ransom and vehicle snaps.
The effort to control the spread of illegal weapons remained a highest priority. In 2025, police registered 1,345 cases related to illegal weapons.
Seizures included 1,080 guns, 93 rifles, 79 guns, four revolvers and over 4,800 cartridges.
This crash played a key role in reducing the circulation of illegal firearms, contributing to the overall fall in violent crimes.
Services for children’s security and public assistance also showed encouraging results.
Of the 451 reported cases of lost children, police successfully reunited 442 children with their families.
In the field of domestic violence, 96 cases were registered, with 23 canceled, 27 during investigation and 46 formally challenged, reflecting active legal follow -up.

With increased arrests, effective handling of emergency calls and targeted surgeries against drugs and illegal weapons, the department has set a high standard for urban police.
