Karachi:
Indian Media’s reports of shooting down a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) F-16 fighter jets were “an obvious lie and fake news,” says security sources on Thursday, referring to such reports a manifestation of Indian decision makers’ confusion and mental paralysis after the loss of dozens of drones in Pakistan.
According to the sources, India had become more and more disoriented after the failure of its recent Harop -DRONE penetration. The Pakistani armed forces, they claimed, were fully prepared to counter any hostile design and remained vigilant against India’s dishonest intentions.
“In a state of panic,” said a security source, “India is now trying to justify potential future aggression against Pakistan by producing stories of attacks in Rajasthan, Pathankot and Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir [IIOJK]”
Observers notice a striking resemblance between the current disinformation campaign and India’s false tale after the 2019 air refreshment during Operation Swift Retort. At that time, Pakistan shot two Indian fighter jets in response to Indian air strikes in Balakot.
However, India claimed that one of its pilots, the wing commander Abhinandan Vardthaman, was caught after pushing out of his abandoned MIG-21-had managed to shoot a Pakistani F-16 before his own plane was brought down. Pakistan denied the F-16 requirement.
Later that year, Foreign Policy Magazine quoted US defense officials who had accounted for all Pakistani F-16s and found that no one lacked against India’s claim. After the report, the then military spokesman said, “India’s claims about the attack and its consequences are false. It’s time for India told the truth about the loss of its second jet shot down Pakistan.”
Despite the lack of independent verification, India’s then-President Ram Nath Kovind awarded the wing commander Abhinandan Vir Chakra India’s third highest wartime military honor to ‘tone’ a Pakistani F-16. Pakistan maintains his attitude that two Indian jets were shot down in 2019 and that no PAF F-16 was lost in the exchange.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Office categorically rejected the “baseless and irresponsible accusations that were propagated by the Indian media” by Pakistan launching attacks on Pathankot, Jaisalmer and Srinagar, saying that these claims were completely unfounded, politically motivated and reckless propaganda.
The repeated pattern of smoothing accusations against Pakistan without any credible investigation reflects a deliberate strategy for producing a pretext for aggression and for further destabilizing the region, “spokesman for the Foreign Office said in a statement late Thursday.
“Such actions not only further jeopardize regional peace, but also reveals a disturbing willingness to exploit incorrect information to political and military targets. We urge the international community to take serious note on this dangerous behavior and advise India against restraint and responsibility,” he continued.
“Any escalation based on false assumptions will be met with full decision and determination to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Pakistan remains vigilant and is firmly obliged to respond to peace, but it will not be deterred by attempts to provoke, frightening or misleading and reserving the right to respond to actions with aggression. possible expressions. “
