Alex Hutchinson, the director of Far Cry 4 and Assassin’s Creed 3Has said that Nintendo Switch 2’s controversial game keys are “kind of limp”.
Speaking in an interview with the video gamer after the release of his new game, Revenge of the Savage PlanetHutchinson said he sees the appeal to digital downloads as one that has released both physical and digital games, but that he is not a fan of Nintendo’s new system.
“It’s funny that Nintendo will get away with it,” Hutchinson said. “It just shows you the power of nostalgia in our business that the way they want to beat Microsoft versus Nintendo, just not the same, especially in Europe. It’s like, ‘oh, Nintendo does, okay, we won’t say much.’
“I hate it,” he continued. “I think it’s kind of limp. I don’t know I just feel like it gets away … We lose some of what made the business special. Trade game cartridges in school, or, you know, DS for the modern audience. There’s something good knowing it.”
Game keys are physical Switch 2 games that contain a download “key” on the cartridge but does not include the full waste data.
While new Switch 2 titles like Mario Kart World and Donkey King Bananza will offer default physical game cards as the original switch, some third -party titles that Star Wars OutlawsAt CHANGE STANDARD: FLYING FAIRY HD REMASTERAnd more will be game card releases only.
