Jhelum:

Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry has blamed refusal to accept the public’s election decision for the country’s prevailing political instability.

He claimed that the ongoing protests nationwide is a direct consequence of this situation, and emphasized that the only solution lies in all political forces gathered for dialogue.

“Imran Khan’s political stature cannot be recognized by gun,” he added.

When he spoke in Jhelum, he advised the government to initiate conversations with the Grand Opposition Alliance to navigate the country out of the current crisis.

“The great opposition alliance is in its last stages and will soon be presented to the public.”

He revealed that the alliance includes important political figures such as Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others.

By tackling both the government and the establishment, Fawad emphasized the need for a conducive environment for negotiations.

He urged to give the prison PTI founder Imran Khan his proper rights and facilities, including family visits, as a step towards dropping political tensions.

“Dialogue can only take place when the political atmosphere improves,” he said, warning that continued arrests and imprisonment of opposition persons would make the negotiations impossible.

He urged the government and the establishment to take responsibility for lowering political temperatures and formally engaging in the opposition in conversations.
