Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan have dropped the first teaser for their romantic film, NEELOFAR. By going to Instagram, the actors released a black and red movie poster with themselves with the caption, “Waiting for the next meeting.”
Co-produced by Fawad itself is the film written and directed by Ammar Rasool and produced by Qasim Mehmood. The film also plays Madiha Imam as one of the protagonists along with Samiya Mumtaz, Atiqa Odho, Behroze Sabzwari and Gohar Rasheed.
The shooting to NEELOFAR had begun before the Covid-19 outbreak, but the pandemic exposed it. However, the team defeated obstacles and wrapped its shoot on December 9, 2020, according to an Instagram post by Mahira.
Mahira caption in 2020, “I take a piece of you and leave a bit of my soul with you. My darling, my darling, my darling, my darling, my darling in 2020 NEELOFAR, I will miss you, oh so much. Here is a cry for all those who worked on this film. Every one of them puts their heart and soul in it. Can’t wait for everyone to see our hard work and love on your screens soon. “
Mahira had talked about sharing screen space with Fawad in Samina Peerzada’s web show by 2020. “I had so much fun working on this project with him,” she said. “It had been so long. Neelofar is just about these two people, it’s very different from our characters in Maula Jatt. In NEELOFARIt’s just the two of us, all our scenes are with each other. It was just so nice to be back with Fawad as older, more mature actors and people. “

The drama that made Mahira and Fawad a continental speech. Sarmad Khoosat’s Humsafar (Based on Farhat Ishtiaq’s novel) Paired Mahiras Khirad with Fawads Ashar and became a cultural phenomenon. High TRPs, streaming runs and an export that helped define Pakistan’s TV Golden Age in 2010. It also created global hype for the two actors, and they continued to make their Bollywood career after that. 
2. LUX STYLE AWARDS COMMERCIALS (Since 2015)
The duo is reunited for award exhibition promo and Lux commercials that gathered fans through nostalgia. The ads and footage behind the scenes were widely shared and Whetted fans for the live-show gene associations and the red-blanket moments.
3. Aquafina TV Commercial (2012)
One of their early post-Humsafar Parties on the screen came in a heartwarming TV advertising for Aquafina Mineral Water. A glossy and emotional story that reminded the viewers of why the mating had such a strong recall.
4. Brides Today Photoshoot (2018)
Mahira and Fawad fronted a bridal education editor for brides today (shows Sadaf Fawad Khan’s SFK Bridal). Photoshoot, shot in Dubai, was a great media moment: editorial, glamorous and a reminder that the duo’s chemistry works just as well on glossy covers as it does on screen.
5. The legend of Maula Jatt (2022)
A major reunion: Bilal Lashari’s The legend of Maula Jatt Cast Fawad and Mahira in a high -budget, stylized restart that became Pakistan’s highest gross film at the release, and a headline manufacturer for both stars. The mating here moved from TV ROMCOM Energy to large -scale cinematic drama.
The couple is also seen together in Netflix’s Jo Bachay Hain sang Samait Lo. Not only will it be Pakistan’s first Netflix original adaptation ever, but will also bring the two together on a global platform. The role crew also contains Hania Aamir and Hamza Ali Abbasi.
Now all eyes are on Fawad and Mahira when they are reunited in a deeply emotional love story. According to IMDB, it is “a love story between a writer and a blind woman.” Mahira plays the role of a blind girl who, according to her, was her most challenging role yet.
