FAZL DELIVERS GRIST TO RUST TERMUL OVER KP GOVT FATE

In the middle of swirling rumors about a brewing "Regime change" In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Jui-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman threw his weight behind the idea of political change in the PTI-led province on Saturday, but with a warning that the change will come from within the reigning party. Maulana, who rejected the notion of back door maneuver, claimed that legitimacy cannot be handed out by "Boots" But must come from people’s will. He further paralyzed both the federal and provincial governments such as having "Sold out". "We do not want a government that is handed over to us by the boots, we want a supported by the people."

With a news conference in Peshawar, the Jui-F chief said the law-and-order situation throughout the country was quickly deteriorating.

"Fresh news is always about a kind of turmoil," He said, referring to the recent killing of an ANP politician, Maulana Khan Zeb, in Bajaur, worsening instability in Balochistan and unrest in Sindh. "We actually know that the ruling elite pays extortion money to extremist groups," he claimed. The Jui-F chief said that political change in KP was important, whether from the ruling PTI or through external political adaptation. "My preference is a change in the province. If it comes from the reigning party that is also fine," he added. Referring to the prison PTI -founder Imran Khan, he said, "If his children come to Pakistan I have no objection," Adding that politics involves differences, not enmity.

"We may disagree with PML-N, PPP or PTI, but we always keep the door open for dialogue, even PTI people come and talk to me," he said. Maulana further claimed that the province enjoyed full peace during his government’s term of office. "You can travel anywhere without incident. There were no police checkpoints. No terrorism. Peace prevailed," he remembered. He also called for a conference on all parties to discuss law and order. With regard to the previously federally administered tribal areas (FATA) fusion with KP, he said it was a "Incorrect decision" Taken under pressure and signals, and all political parties must now admit it. "Everyone joined the bandwagon and thought the FATA merger was a good idea. We still said it wasn’t. Now it is to turn this error in the national interest," he advised. He expressed frustration that FATA, even after eight years, was still missing basic administration. "No Patwari can go there even today. We were told that soil records were gathered in FATA – when I asked how, I was told it was done with the help of satellites."

The Jui-F leader pointed out that a magnificent tribe Jirga should be held on Sunday and said his party respected such forums. "We had always wanted decisions on FATA’s political future to be taken with input from its tribe elders, not through unilateral decisions."

He said his party had been recognized as a stakeholder in the government’s committee for FATA and that it had been asked to nominate representatives. "But how many members of the committee are actually from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or even Pashtun?" He asked. "The province’s money is only used to appoint parliamentary secretaries and for luxury. This is an extortion -supported, rigged government."

When asked about imprisoned politicians, he said no politician should be behind pillars, "But yes, politicians go to jail. However, political movements are not just about being released, they are led by major reasons".
