Jamiat Urvila-e-Islam (Jui-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has strongly criticized former US President Donald Trump’s comments on Gaza and calls on the Pakistani government and establishment to take a clear attitude that really represents the nation’s conscience.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman confirmed his attitude towards Palestine, rejected Israeli occupation, and emphasized that Palestinians have an undeniable right to their country. He condemned the statements of Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during their meeting and called it an insult to the Muslim Ummah, which he said is united in protest.
‘Palestine belongs to Palestinians’
The Jui-F chief claimed that the Palestinian struggle is a legitimate struggle for freedom, labeling Israel as a Zionist occupation that has never been recognized by the Palestinian people. He declared that the entire Muslim Ummah is stuck with the Palestinians in their resistance.
He also recalled Trump of America’s failure in Afghanistan, saying, “You tried to occupy Afghanistan and spilled blood for 20 years, introduced war and violated human rights – but you were facing a humiliating defeat.”
‘Gaza massacres are war crimes’
Maulana Fazlur Rehman condemned Israel’s 15 -month assault on Gaza, performed with American support that made Gaza and Khan Younis ruins. He emphasized that thousands remain buried under the rubble, while over 50,000 Palestinians, including women and children, have been martyrated.
“How else can one define such atrocities except as war crimes and crimes against humanity?” He questioned, drawing parallels to Saddam Hussein’s execution and Muammar Gaddafi’s overturn, as he said was justified by the West on similar reasons.
US support for Israel
He further criticized the United States for supporting Israel’s genocide and said Washington continues to support Israel while discussing the occupation of Gaza. In a defensive message, he declared, “Let it be known – no power on earth can occupy Gaza!”
Urge Pakistan to take a fixed standpoint
Maulana Fazlur Rehman praised the Arab League for rejecting Trump’s statement and called on Pakistan’s government and establishment to remove any ambiguity in terms of Palestine and take a strong, clear attitude towards Trump’s comments.
“This is a very sensitive question regarding the entire Muslim world. Any government that remains unclear at Palestine is unacceptable,” he said, confirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian case.
