The federal cabinet has approved a summary to increase wages for federal ministers, prime ministers and advisers, expressed news on Friday.
Following the approval, the monthly salary for federal ministers, prime ministers and advisers will be RS519,000. According to sources, the wage increase reflects an increase of up to 188% for these office holders.
This development comes two months after the Finance Committee for the National Assembly approved a proposal to bring wages and perks to MPs (MPs) and senators in accordance with the federal secretaries.
The decision was made unanimously by the committee under the presidency of speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
