The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Commercial Banking Circle has arrested two persons and recovered thousands of fake US dollars in Karachi, as part of a crackdown on fake currency.

According to Express News, the FIA ​​raid team conducted an operation in Saddar area where they arrested two suspects involved in illegal trade in fake dollars.

During the raid, the team seized 4,500 fake US dollars.

Officials revealed that one of the suspects, Qadir Raza, was waiting to deliver the fake dollars to a party. After his identification, another suspect, Naeem Ahmed, was arrested at a location near Water Pump.

The arrested suspects have been arrested and further investigations are underway. Efforts are also on to apprehend the main supplier of the fake currency.
