Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was formally honored with a special honorary guard in the general headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
The ceremony was held in Yadgar-E-Shuhada within GHQ, where Field Marskalk Munir put a flower wreath and offered Fateha in tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan.
General Munir was raised to rank as a field marshal of the federal government in recognition of his excellent leadership during the recent military clashes with India and the successful execution of “Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.”
The Prime Minister’s office recognized his exemplary courage and determination in leading the Pakistani army and coordinating the armed forces of the armed forces extensive.
Field Marshal Munir dedicated the honor to the entire Pakistani nation and paid tribute to the armed forces, law enforcement and civilian veterans for their gracious service and victims.
In particular, he recognized the martyrs and described them as defenders who stood “as a wall of steel” against India’s unprovoked and illegal aggression.
“This honor is a tribute to the entire Pakistani nation and they are tapping men and women in the armed forces of Pakistan, especially the martyrs, who stood as a wall of steel against Indian unprovoked, feig and illegal aggression against Pakistan,” he said.
