Field Marshal, Chinese FM Vow Regional Peace Push

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met Friday staff chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and discussed regional security, terrorism and questions of mutual interest, said a news announcement issued by Inter-Services PR-Public Relations (ISPR).

The two sides expressed their obligation to promote peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

Both sides also confirmed their decision to strengthen the strategic partnership throughout and improve coordination on regional and international forums.

Yi repeated China’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s sovereignty and development. The COAs expressed gratitude for China’s consistent support.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Foreign Minister left Friday after completing his three-day official visit to Pakistan.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar So Foreign Minister Wang Yi with Pakistan’s ambassador to Beijing and his Chinese counterpart also present as well as senior officials.
