FIELD Marshal Munir warns of ‘powerful response’ on any Indian aggression

Islamabad:

Field Marshal Asim Munir has said that India persists in its efforts to destabilize the region and warn that any action action will be met with a “powerful answer.”

“India is still inclined to create instability in the region, and Pakistan has made it clear that any Indian aggression will be met with an appropriate response,” said Chief of Army Staff (Coas) Field Marshal Asim Munir while approaching the Pakistani community during his visit to the United States on Sunday.

According to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAs participated in the pension ceremony for the outgoing US central command (Centcom) Commander General Michael E Kurilla and the change of the command gauge for Admiral Brad Cooper in Tampa.

While approaching Pakistanis, the army chief said India is trying to project himself as a “Vishwaguru” (World Leader) But in reality “there is none of that kind”. He quoted transnational terrorism by India’s intelligence agency RAW as a matter of serious international concern and pointed to the murder of a SIKH leader in Canada, edition of eight Indian naval officers in Qatar and the arrest of Kulbhushan Jadhav in Pakistan as examples.

“Pakistan has fought for a successful diplomatic fight against India’s discriminatory and hypocritical policies,” said Field Marshal Munir. “The recent Indian aggression, carried out under shameful conditions, was a serious violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and resulted in the martyrdom of innocent civilians.”

He said the incident had brought the region to “the edge of a dangerous escalating war where any wrong calculation could lead to a major conflict”. He expressed Pakistan’s gratitude to US President Donald Trump for what he described as “strategic leadership”, which helped prevent not only an India-Pakistan war, but also “many conflicts around the world”.

The army boss said Pakistan had given a “resolute and robust” response to India’s provocation and managed to prevent a wider confrontation.

Coas Munir reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir were “not India’s internal case” but an “unfinished international agenda”. He quoted Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and said Kashmir is Pakistan’s “jugular vein” and emphasized that the UN security council resolutions on the territory remain valid.

About regional security, the army chief warned that several terrorist groups, including Fitna-Al-Khawarij, operated from Afghanistan against Pakistan. “Pakistan is the last fortress in the fight against terrorism,” he said. “There will be no sympathy for terrorists and they will face justice with full strength.”

Overseas Pakistanis not brain drains but brain increase

Coas Munir praised overseas Pakistanis as “a source of dignity and honor” under an address to the Pakistani community in the United States and described them as “brain reinforcement” rather than “brain drains.”

“It is an honor for me to approach Pakistanis who live in the United States. Overseas Pakistanis are a source of dignity and honor, and they are as passionate as those who live in their homeland,” Munir said. “Overseas Pakistanis are not a brain drain but a brain increase.”

The army boss said his second visit to the United States within six weeks was “a sign of a new dimension” in the relationship between Pakistan and the United States. “These visits aim to put relationships on a constructive, sustainable and positive path,” he noted, adding that the ongoing blood emit in Gaza was “a serious humanitarian tragedy” with serious consequences at both regional and global levels.

He emphasized that Pakistan’s development and prosperity were tied to its diaspora. “Overseas Pakistanis’ devotion and connection to the home country is an undeniable reality. In times of disaster, they are the first to answer appeals for help,” he said.

Anti-State items that use social media for chaos

Field Marshal Munir said, “Social media has become a powerful medium, but anti-state elements use it to create made chaos.” He quoted the Holy Qur’an, adding, “O you who believe, if an evil person comes to you with news, you must note the truth so that you do not hurt people inadvertently and afterwards become full of regret for what you have done.”

He emphasized the importance of understanding the younger generation. “Thinking, relationships and priorities for the new generation are different, and understanding them is the need for the hour,” he said, noting that a potential trade agreement with the United States could lead to “significant investments.”

On the diplomatic front, Pakistan achieved “notable successes”

On the diplomatic front, Coas Munir said Pakistan had achieved “remarkable successes” with Memoranda on understanding while implementing the United States, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and China to improve economic cooperation and investment.

He said that Pakistan’s youth – 64 percent of its population – was full of potential. He also paid tribute to the recent diplomatic and security gains against India as “the result of Allah Allah’s blessing, the nation’s collective efforts, foresight and decision on political leadership and the professional skill of our brave armed forces.”

“The question ahead of us is no longer whether we want to get up,” he said. “The question is how fast and with how much strength we will rise. Let us with a new spirit and purpose go ahead while we preserve the legacy of our ancestors.”
