But the madness of foreign football fans has hit the United States, with chaos that follows in Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon.

During the game, protesters invaded the field. Pitch invaders took the pitch with a sign that said “Morocco! Stop shooting dogs and cats.”

He ran for a few seconds before being tackled by security workers and escorted out of the stadium. One of the protesters’ shirt and characters included the logo of PETA (humans for ethical treatment of animals).

According to Peta, “homeless cats and dogs in Morocco are shot, poisoned and left to die in cages without food or water.” The government has expanded a “trap, castrate, vaccinated and return” program for straying animals, but activists have claimed animals are killed rather than castrated.

Peta wrote about the incident at X.

“Activists stormed the @FIFACWC field to postpone Morocco’s mass shooting, poisoning and burning alive by dogs and cats in front of the FIFA world championship in 2030 to make the country’s streets look presentable,” Peta wrote.

“Call the Moroccan government to end the slaughter of homeless animals and ask FIFA to stop standing by while animals die.”

Manchester City’s Phil Foot scored two minutes into the match and later had an assist to lead the Premier League power center to a 2-0 win.

In the 88th minute, Rico Lewis was shown a red card after a tough mistake on Samuel Obeng, leaving the city with 10 men on the field.
