- Galaxy S25 series phones get a small UI 7 update
- The release plan for other phones remains uncertain
- Galaxy S23 models could get the update next week – or next month
Samsung’s rollout of a UI 7 (based on Android 15) has been a long and frustrating for users, with delays and bugs in total – and we’ve got some more details about when the software can actually arrive on your phone.
First up, tipster @universeice knew that the “last full version” of a UI 7 now rolls out to the Samsung Galaxy S25. Or at least it seems to be in South Korea, so it has to reach the rest of the world soon.
The Galaxy S25 phones launched with a UI 7 on board back in January, but this latest “Last” version seems to bring the handset up to date with the latest features -including a new charging animation and improved interface support for media player apps.
That leaves any other Galaxy phone. Officially, a UI 7 should be on its way to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 on April 7, although this process was paused and it is not clear if it has been fully resumed. Based on reports of Reddit and Social Media, it seems that it may depend on where in the world you are.
Coming soon?

With continuous uncertainty about the one UI 7 update to Galaxy Hand Set that was launched in 2024 and 2025, it might be no surprise that we see conflicting leaks around when older phones like Samsung Galaxy S23 will be included.
If you own a Galaxy S23, you will be encouraged by a report from Android headlines suggesting the phone could get a UI 7 already next week – though it appears that the Canadian carrier showing the leak is based on has now been revised.
From Canada to India, where the well-known Tipster @Tarunvats33 has sent another roll-out time line specifying the Galaxy S23 upgrade date as May 25. Some other phones and tablets apparently have to wait until June or even July.
As has tended to be the norm with a UI 7, we have a lack of clarity from Samsung and a lot of conflicting rumors – not helped by the complex logistics of managing software updates across several countries and airlines. Once again, Galaxy phone owners need to patient to update their Android update screens and wait.
