Disney has released the first trailer for one of the most expected new movies, Mandalorian and grogu, Today (September 22), and there is plenty for fans to look forward to when it lands in theaters in 2026.
Recently it was reported The bear Actor Jeremy Allen White was thrown as the son of intergalactic crime manager Jabba The Hutt, and the trailer gives us a very quick look at him.
Elsewhere, Sigourney Weaver’s mystical role has been revealed as fighter pilot Colonel Ward, and The rise of Skywalker‘s best creature, Babu Frik, also appears. It is a lot to pack in a 1-minute and 30 seconds long trailer and it certainly kept my interest.

What do we know about the Mandalorian and Grogu?
Mandalorian and Grogu will have a theater release on May 22, 2026.
At some point, we should expect to see it on Disney+, though it is far too early for it to potentially make it our best Disney+ movie-round-up so those who want to look at streaming will have to be patient.
Recently, the film was shown among the 5 major Disney messages on the D23 EXPO 2025, where fans were treated with an exclusive clip. However, we know more about the movie now, including a plot.
In a press release, Lucasfilm has teased that “the evil empire has fallen and imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the new New Republic is working to protect everything the rebellion fought for, they have enrolled the help of the legendary mandaloric Bounty Hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice.
Ever since the Mandalorian Season 3 ended, I’ve really missed this duo and I’m excited to reunite with them next year.
