We have received officially words from Google
A Google Representative has reached out to confirm the problem of the Fitbit app is now resolved. Everyone must now be able to log into their accounts and sync their fitness trackers again.
Here’s what happened
- A few hours ago, reports began to grow on Reddit and Downdetector that Fitbit users, no matter what Fitbit device or Google Pixel Watch they actually owned, experienced syncing problems with the app.
- Not only that, but when users followed Fitbit’s ‘Help’ step by first uninstalling and reinstalling the app, they couldn’t log into their accounts.
- This meant that all information their fitness tracker collected was not added to their existing pool of data.
- Fitbit’s status page updated to let its users know that there was a widespread problem and annoying users went to Reddit to express their dissatisfaction.
- Fortunately, a solution was soon rolled out and Users are now able to log in. If you still have problems, you are likely to receive a solution soon.
- There is no need to reboot or factory stake your Fitbit -UnitLosing all your settings: The problem seems to be (or has been) with the Fitbit app, whether you can access it on your phone or via a web API.

Months ago, a similar interruption of the best Garmin watches lasted for several days, and we experienced a scream of frustration from Garmin users.
As a Garmin user, I remember how much I trusted my Garmin during both marathon training and during the events themselves, as tools like the virtual pacers and heartbeat zones kept me on track to hit (or at least narrowly miss) my race day goals. The idea of getting my running clock down on me on race day, after working against that moment for months, simply didn’t think about thinking.
Fitbit users suffer from a similar problem today, and I can’t help but feel to people who depend on the flow of information from their wrists during major life events and competitions, not just daily users looking for sleep and step counts. As a runner, I used this information as a tool during my workout: It is only now that I realized that the tool was a crutch.
Let this be a reminder to take your training watch every time and practice working by Feel: Running Coach, Author and Plain Techradar contributor Lily Canter has written an excellent piece that driving without a smartwatch – called “naked running” in society – can be such a useful practice.
How to fix your Fitbit -App

Honestly? It looks like the fix is “doing nothing and trying to log in later”.
Fitbit rolls a solution, but it seems to be a slow process where some users are still unable to log in. However is Roll out, so if you still can’t sync your watch or fitness tracker, or you can’t log in to your app, don’t worry – try a non -tracked workout for a change and pick up where you left off when the correction has reached you. Who knows that? You can enjoy the liberating lack of accountability that comes with taking off your fitness watch.
Event closed – for some …

Fitbit’s official status page is now reporting the incident as “closed”, indicating that the correction is rolled out to users and the power break is completed, which matches those who fall dismantling reports.
According to our E -Mail inbox and Reddit reports, many people still can’t get back to their accounts. For these people, we need to assume that a solution is imminent – but let us know if the problem persists.
Reader -E -Mail: Some people are still affected

A reader who was e -mailed in to tell us that they are still not back in the app, despite the correction that apparently rolls out.
“Yes, I’m affected. Cannot sync, reinstalled app, now can’t log in.”
This is despite the stumping downdetect reports shown below, which appear to indicate that the worst is behind us. Hang in there!

We’re back! From R/Fitbit
Are we back? A user just announced that they are able to log in again with their regular details where others chimede it works.
However, other users say they still cannot access their app, so it is clear that the correction is slowly rolling out to the user base.
It’s reassuring news for Fitbit fans, but it’s useful to know how fast this solution is rolling out. If you are still affected by the power interruption (or you missed out to record an important event or workout), let us go an E email at the above address.
Is there anything wrong with my Fitbit?

Probably not. Whether you have an old Fitbit Alta, a cheap-and-cheersful Fitbit Inspire 3 or a top-of-the-Line Google Pixel Watch 3, don’t get panic: Your actual device is probably fine even if it is not synchronized to your app. There seems to be no need to restart or think with your Fitbit device, at least until Google comes out with an official solution.
The problem, as mentioned in previous posts, seems to be from the Fitbit app. You may be losing some of today’s data as a result of this synchronization question, but it is too early to understand the full consequences of a major power outage like this. However, it is a relief that your best fitness tracker is probably fine.
An E -Mail from a reader
A reader with the handle DZ E emailed in to add their voice to our suspicion: “Neither my husband nor I have been able to sync our Fitbits this morning. We have tried on a phone and four different tablets.”
It is interesting to note that this is a problem that occurs across devices: Because it affects both mobile and web apps, something goes wrong with Fitbit on the back.
Therefore, if you read this, units change and try to log in to something else, probably won’t work: The problem comes from your Fitbit account, not the device you log on.
Fitbit’s official status: “experiencing a large power outage”

Status.fitbit.com confirms that the app and the web API both experience a “major power outage”, with service disorder (not a complete blackout) across both channels.
However, it is interesting to note that unit synchronization / mating is listed as “available” with a green cross, which contrasts with the reports from users about Reddit in the previous post.
Reddit speaks out
Problem to log in from R/Fitbit
When we jumped over to Fitbit subbreddit, we found the post above with a barrier of comments that all said the same thing: their Fitbit devices would not sync with the app and when they tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, they could no longer log in again. Here are a few examples:

Our first clue, wrong, came from a huge tip in Downdetector, as you can see above. At the time of writing, we see over 2,000 reports of power cuts, with many more users turning to other sites such as Reddit to express their dissatisfaction.
