Five dies in Chaman ‘Suicide’ Blast

At least five people died in a strong explosion near the Pakistan-Afghan border in Chaman on Thursday, when security forces eliminated four terrorists linked to the “Indian Proxy Network Fitna Al Hindustan” during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Khuzdar district of Balochistan.

The explosion took place near a taxi rack in the refugee camp area close to the border, as it frequented by travelers and locals. Police sources described the explosion “a suicide blast” that required life for at least five people and wounded three others.

However, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Press Office said that Shehbaz Sharif has “expressed deep grief and grief over the loss of six precious lives” in the “bomb explosion in a parking lot near the Pak-Afghan border in Chaman”.

Eyewitnesses and locals said the explosion was so high that it was heard over Chaman City and even in the suburbs. Shortly after the explosion, security officials rushed to the stage. Ambulances from nearby hospitals were sent immediately to switch the dead and injured to medical facilities.

The Balochistan Government condemned the attack. Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti ordered the law enforcement authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the incident and submit a detailed report.

According to the home department of Balochistan, the site is sealed and specialized teams are currently collecting forensic evidence. Officials confirmed that the investigation process is underway to determine the nature of the explosion and the possible motives behind it.

The home department encouraged citizens to remain calm, avoid spreading non -verified information or rumors and expanding full cooperation to security agencies working in the affected area. Security around the Pak-Afghan border has been tightened as part of precautionary measures.

Meanwhile, according to a press release between services (ISPR), security forces IBO conducted in the Khuzdar district on Wednesday about reported presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna Al Hindustan.

“During the performance of Operation, our forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, four Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell,” ISPR said. “Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also regained from the terrorists who remained involved in several terrorist activities in the area,” it added.

“Sanitization operation is carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area, and the security forces in Pakistan are determined to wipe out the threat of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country, and confirms the country’s unhealthy decision to bring the perpetrators to terrorism to justice,” it also said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif security forces paid tribute to successful operation against Fitna-Ul-Hindustan in Khuzdar. He praised the professional skills for officers and staff in the security forces, says a Prime Minister’s office in the office.

The Prime Minister promised that the fight against the threat of terror would continue until it was completely eradicated from the country. “The whole nation, including me, stands at the armed forces of Pakistan in his unwavering decision to protect the home country,” the prime minister said.
