At least five people were killed and three others were wounded when a passenger track slipped off an icy road and threw himself into a deep gorge in Azad Kashmir’s Haveli District, officials said Sunday.
The vehicle traveled from Kahuta to Rawalpindi when it lost control near Mahmood Gali due to smooth road conditions caused by snow and fog. According to police, the coaster slipped for several meters before tumbling hundreds of meters down the steep gorge.
The locals and rescue teams rushed to the stage, picked up organs and helped the wounded who were led to a nearby army hospital and a medical center for treatment.
A video of the incident has emerged online showing the vehicle sliding on the snowy road before losing control.
