Security forces have killed five terrorists under three separate operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted on April 30 and May 1 in different places in KP where five terrorists were killed.
The statement added that two terrorists were arrested during surgery. In the Bajaur District, security forces launched an operation based on intelligence reports and targeted a militant hiding place effectively.
According to spokesman for the Pakistani army, three terrorists were killed following a heavy exchange of fire. Among the dead was a high -value target, identified as hazardedullah.
It further stated that another secret operation was performed in the Dosali area of North Waziristan, where two terrorists were killed under a firefighter.
ISPR said the third operation was performed in the Mohmand district, where security forces successfully attacked a militant hiding place and arrested two terrorists, including a high-level militant named Lal Amir, also known as Ibrahim.
The Army spokesman added that a large cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives were also regained during these operations. The killed and arrested terrorists had been involved in various terrorist activities.
The statement concluded that an approval operation is in the area of eliminating residual terrorists and that the Pakistani army remains determined to eradicate terrorism and will continue its struggle to free the country with this threat.
