A five-storey residential building collapsed in Karachi’s Lyari neighborhood and injured at least five people, rescuers said Friday.
The collapse took place in the Baghdadi area of Lyari.
Rescuers said five people, including three women, were originally drawn from the rubble with injuries.
Authorities fear that more individuals may be trapped during the waste. A rescue operation is ongoing.
All wounded were moved to the trauma center at Civil Hospital Karachi, confirmed hospital sources. One person is in critical condition while the other caused minor injuries and receiving treatment.
Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has taken knowledge of the incident.
