Florida joins its fellow # 1 seeds later this week in Final Four.
Gators defeated Texas Tech this last Saturday to move on to the semi -finals. But before that, they had to do it past Maryland in Sweet 16. UF took care of business against Terrapins, but a walk-on postgame interview made headlines.
Bennett Anderson, who also had a stint like Gator’s Team Manager, typically does not draw much attention from media members. He has seen a limited amount of playing time and has scored a total of four points this season.

“Hopefully these guys take care of business so I can play again, hopefully I can get another bucket,” Anderson told Baia. Anderson’s lonely basket in the game happened after he grabbed an offensive rebound in the last minute of the Sweet 16 game. Then he drove to the hanger and made a set up.

Houston will meet Duke later on Saturday in the second semi -final game. The winners of both of these games move on to the national championship game at Alamodome.
