“Jabbar Juluk’s behavior during the wandering reflects behavior that is unacceptable and not in line with the standards of the southeastern conference,” SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said in a statement. “Coaches are expected to be leaders and cutting down tense situations and it did not happen in this circumstance. This suspension is appropriate and any future mismatch from Jabbar Juluke will result in more serious disciplinary action.”
Players from both Gators and the Tigers were involved in first name events. However, Juluk’s commitment was not spelled in the SEC release.
He apologized for his role and suggested he enter an incident with a Tigers player.

“I would first like to apologize for both Florida and LSU universities, their team, staff and fans. I also sincerely apologize for the young athlete and his family,” he said via ESPN. “On Saturday, I responded in a way that I am not proud of. There is no excuse for my behavior and I take full responsibility for my actions. In this game, emotional situations occur and bad reactions occur. I regret my reaction and commit myself to using this moment to strengthen my emotional intelligence.
“I know that more is expected of us as coaches and I commit myself to living up to that expectation. I think growth is in ownership and learning from the good and the bad. I intend to use this situation as a learning moment, not only for myself, but for those I influence. Again, I offer my sincere apology to both institutions and the employees and families involved.”
Juluke will miss out on games against Miami Hurricanes, Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Agggies.
