The two leaders also discussed their views on regional issues.
The German Foreign Ministry had previously announced that it would lift its ban on entry by Afghan citizens after growing legal pressure at home and a deportation pressure of Pakistan.
About 2,000 Afghans were approved for moving to Germany under a program for people considered in danger during the Taliban government. These 2,000 individuals have been stranded in Pakistan for several months after Berlin stopped the initiative in the middle of a promise to limit migration.
The decision to resume migration came after several litigation was filed by groups and affected Afghan individuals who questioned the freezer.
This decision CAMES in the middle of Pakistan’s steps to exhibit Afghan refugees prior to the deadline of September 1, which includes the part of Germany’s relocation program.
