FM Ishaq Dar discusses the Middle East -Crisis with Malaysian counterpart

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Malaysian Foreign Minister Date Seri Attama Haji Mohammad bin Haji Hassan focusing on important regional issues.

According to the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar and his Malaysian colleague discussed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza as well as the wider Middle East situation, Express News reported.

The conversation emphasized the urgent nature of tackling human suffering and instability in the region, especially in Gaza, where civilians have been facing serious challenges.

During the call, Ishaq repeated Dar Pakistan’s unwavering obligation to the Palestinian case and emphasized Pakistan’s continuous support for a fair and lasting solution to the Palestinian question.

He confirmed Pakistan’s attitude to advocate the rights of the Palestinian people at international level.

The two leaders also discussed the upcoming extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council for Foreign Ministers, with Pakistan expressing his strong support for the initiative.

Dar highlighted the importance of collective actions to tackle the Middle East crisis and OIC’s role in providing a platform for dialogue and cooperation on Palestinian rights.

Formerly, on Sunday, Pakistan strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s proposal to establish a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia, with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, situation.

In a heavily formulated statement, the Foreign Office refused categorically Netanyahus proposals and called it “irresponsible, provocative and thoughtless” and, in unequivocal expression, condemned the statement from the Israeli Prime Minister.

Dar said that Pakistan is convinced that the Palestinian people have an inalienable right to establish an independent and sovereign state based on the borders before 1967, with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital.

“Any proposal seeking to displace or move the Palestinian people from their ancestral homeland is unacceptable and constitutes an obvious violation of international law, the UN decisions and the principles of justice and justice,” he added.

Meanwhile, Dar spoke with foreign ministers in Iran, Egypt and Turkey to discuss the evolving situation.

Earlier today, Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a short stopover in Turkiyes Istanbul while on his way to Portugal.

The meeting took place at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport State Guesthouse before President Erdogan’s departure to Malaysia.

Zardari, who was preparing to leave Türkiye, met with the Turkish leader before a scheduled press conference.
