Islamabad:

Pakistan expressed deep grief on Friday over the devastating earthquake that hit Myanmar, Thailand and neighboring countries.

“Our thoughts are with everyone who is affected by this tragedy, and we pray for all the affected as well as for the rapid recovery of the wounded,” says the foreign office in a press release.

Pakistan also welcomes the brave people and emergency preparedness partners.

“We express our solidarity with the governments and communities affected by this challenging period. Can strengthen and resilience lead those affected by healing and improvement,” the statement added.
