The US Gymnastics is under the national microscope after the biggest star, Simone Biles, ignited the massback to attack Riley Gaines over the question of trans athletes in women’s sports. Biles has since apologized for her comments against Gaines, but the effect of public perception of her and the organization is only coming in.
Former Team USA and NCAA Champion Women’s Gymnast Dee Worley spoke against USA gymnastics after it was revealed that the organization’s web pages outlining its trans -bright athletic policy and resources were offline, Pakinomist reported Digital earlier.
Worley, a former US Gymnastics athlete and board member, revealed in an exclusive interview with Pakinomist Digital his thoughts on the management state of the country’s governing gymnastics body, as the US is set to host next summer -ol in Los Angeles in 2028.

“I think there has been a constant decline in its ability to have a backbone and its leader’s ability to have a backbone for some time now,” Worley said of the organization and its recent quiet distancing from transposing policies. “When you do not have principles that you are willing to be colored in wool around and be ten toes down, you will blow with any wind.”
Worley, who competed for the American national team already in high school in the late 1980s, made history at the University of Alabama as 17-time all-American, a four-time master and a nine-time regional champion. As a senior in 1993, she set an NCAA record with perfect 10s in five consecutive meetings. She later says she served as a US member of gymnastics.
And she went so far as to say that the organization is exhibiting “cowardice” with its past attitude and currently unclear attitude towards the question now.
“I don’t like their cowardice in any case. Whether it means they have the infringement information in the first place or they took it down when it got hot in the kitchen. I don’t admire cowardice and I think you know you’ll find your attitude to stand on it, but be ready for the fight if you are on a question that will be harmful to women in your sport that has done your sport what it is.”
Previously links to three of the organization’s pages outlining its transgender people to transgender people are currently offline. When the pages were officially taken offline is currently unknown.
A link earlier led to a November 2020 announcement that the organization no longer required trans -athletes to undergo sex distribution, legal sex recognition and hormone therapy to compete in the gender category where they choose, as seen in an archive of Wayback Machine. This page still appears in search results, but the link now goes to a 404 error page.
Another link went earlier to a three-page PDF pamphlet with the US gymnastics guidelines for transcend and non-binary athletes, as seen in a Wayback Machine Archive. This link is now inaccessible, but is still a top result on search engines.
Another link previously went to a nine-page PDF US Gymnastics pamphlet entitled “Transgender Athlete Inclusion Resources: Supporting Transgender and Non-Binary Athletes,” as seen in a wayback machine archive. This link is also no longer available.
Worley predicts that the organization will advertise an official change in its policy, but not one that goes far enough as she wants.
“I predict that they will change the language that leaves lots of loopholes and flexibility for them to be just nebulous enough for them to change their mind if and when time comes,” Worley said.
“I think they are very pressured an external focus -driven instead of being principled. So you can’t depend on any organization that is not on anything or have actual values that they refused to bend on.”

For Worley, the organization’s recent attitude to letting biological men compete in the women’s category a political shift from the Left in recent years. She believes it began after the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
“When I was part of the US Gymnastics it was really rigid … USA gymnastics was really about being Team USA. It was about representing the United States well,” Worley said of when she competed in the 90s and early 2000s.
“So that’s my memory of it and it’s gone far back now. In my opinion, US Gymnastics has been absolutely plagued by incredibly defective leadership for many, many years and has also bent his knee to the waking mob. Which is unfortunate because it has nothing to do with gymnastics.”
Worley remembers a shift from the organization that prioritizes the protection of athletes after the public treatment of Gabby Douglas at the Summer Games in 2008.
“I noticed that it was the kind of tipping point for me, I noticed some kind of fall with regard to the protection of the athletes,” Worley said.
Other large Team USA sports -leading bodies have calmly changed their transgender policy in the midst of increasing opposition to trans -cluttering in women’s and girls’ sports.
US Track and Field (USATF) Official policy for transsexual eligibility Now refers the world’s athletics guidelines on its official web page.

The IOC allows biological men to compete in the women’s category, while World Athletics prohibits any athlete who has undergone male puberty from competing as a woman.
US fence announced in April that it is preparing to change its gender eligibility policy following a viral protest from Women’s Fencer Stephanie Turner Sparkled mass transport and federal intervention by protesting against a trans opponent.
The organization said it is preparing to change its current policies It allows biological men to compete with women and girls in case it is “forced” to change it.
“In the event that the US fence is forced to change its current attitude in accordance with supervisory bodies or federal legislation, the new political states must, athletes competing in the US hencing-sanctioned tournaments compete according to their biological gender,” the announcement reads.
The proposed updated policy ensures that the women’s category “will only be open to athletes of the female gender.” The category of the gentlemen “will be open to all other athletes who are otherwise eligible for competition.”
Worley hopes the next generation of gymnasts can help contribute to a significant change in their governing body.
“If any female gymnast is in a position where there is a male competitor who claims to be a woman and wants to compete against women, I will say to them ‘push back,'” Worley said.
“You do not compete if you opt out of that there is no one for them to compete against. Two really put pressure on the governing body that should have your back. Suggested to support you about your progression in the sport. Don’t let them get rid of checking the waking mobboks and doing what they think they should do for optics for a very small percentage of the population by victim and compromise in your career.”
